Treatment of cataracts, diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, refractive surgery, adult and pediatric strabismus (improperly aligned eyes), oculoplastics and neuro-ophthalmology. It is the only practice in Northwest Indiana, and one of the few practices in Chicagoland, featuring a fellowship-trained pediatric ophthalmologist.

The Eye Specialists Center is the evolution of the practice started in 1957 by Karl E. Ticho, MD and has grown to include three additional partners: (Dr. Karl’s son) Benjamin H. Ticho, MD, Jonathan Buka, MD and Alexander J. Khammar, MD. They are all board-certified ophthalmologists, sometimes known as "Eye MDs" because they are medical doctors.
